1. OUR "NO SURVEILLANCE" & LOCAL EDGE AI ARCHITECTURE
We have engineered our upcoming physical ecosystem (Liacare Hub, Radar Nightlights, Rescue Rover) with stringent "Privacy-by-Design" principles. We unequivocally reject the concept of continuous surveillance in the home.
No Stationary Video or Audio Surveillance: We strictly do not use continuous video or continuous audio recording to monitor living spaces.
Blind Fall Detection: Fall detection is conducted exclusively via "blind" 60GHz radio-wave radars. These sensors map spatial positioning and detect movement signatures, but they do not capture optical imagery, visual identifiers, or identifiable human forms.
100% Local Edge AI: All radar fall analysis and ambient voice interactions are processed entirely LOCALLY on the edge device itself. We do not send, transmit, store, analyze, or sell ambient audio recordings or raw radar data to the cloud. What happens in the home, stays on the device.
2. STRICT CAMERA & VIDEO DATA POLICY
To eliminate the risks associated with optical lenses in private spaces, our hardware enforces strict, mechanical limits on camera usage:
Liacare Hub: The camera on the Hub is physically blocked by a mechanical privacy shutter 99.9% of the time. The shutter ONLY opens, and the camera ONLY activates, during an explicit, user-initiated family video call.
Rescue Rover: The camera on the Rescue Rover remains entirely inactive under normal circumstances. It ONLY activates during a system-confirmed fall alert to allow an authorized Caregiver to securely and remotely assess the emergency situation.
Zero Recording: We do not record, log, intercept, or store any of these live video feeds on our servers. Video streams are securely routed for live, temporary viewing only.
3. THIRD-PARTY CONSENT: BUYER VS. MONITORED USER
Liacare products are generally purchased by a Caregiver ("Buyer") to monitor a Senior ("Monitored User"). Because Liacare operates entirely via Local Edge AI, we do not directly monitor or profile the Monitored User. The Buyer bears total legal responsibility for informing the Monitored User of the system's capabilities and obtaining their explicit, legal consent prior to installation.
4. INFORMATION WE ACTUALLY COLLECT
Because our hardware operates on Local Edge AI, the data we collect is strictly limited to necessary e-commerce and operational routing data.
4.1. E-Commerce Data (via Lemon Squeezy)
When you purchase the $25 Digital Priority Pass, your payment is processed by our authorized Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing details, and payment card information securely. Liacare does not see, process, or store your credit card numbers. We only receive your name, email, and order ID from Lemon Squeezy to deliver your Digital Guide (PDF), issue a refund if requested, and register your 40% hardware discount.
4.2. Account & Website Analytics
If you contact us or register for updates, we collect your name and email address. We also automatically collect standard technical data (IP addresses, browser types, basic cookies) to ensure our Site functions smoothly.
5. HOW WE USE & SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect solely to:
Fulfill the delivery of your Digital Priority Pass.
Maintain a record of your 40% discount for future hardware redemption.
Process refunds via Lemon Squeezy.

WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL DATA. Liacare does not, and will not, sell your personal information, contact details, ambient audio, radar data, or video feeds to third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks. We share necessary data only with trusted service providers (like Lemon Squeezy) strictly to run our business, or if compelled by a valid legal requirement.
6. YOUR US STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA & CalOPPA)
If you are a resident of California (or a state with equivalent privacy legislation), you possess specific legal rights regarding your personal information. Even as a small enterprise, we strive to meet the strictest standards of these laws:
Right to Know & Access: You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to Delete: You may request the deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions (such as our need to maintain a record of your purchase to honor your 40% discount).
